翔央君と青山劇場

「飛龍伝21」の稽古が始まったから、演出家の岡村俊一さんが彼のツイッターにかなりの数の翔央君についてつぶやきを投稿しました。下のつぶやきを読むと、言葉に出来ないくらい感動しました。翔央君の謙虚な態度を称賛します。
12歳の頃から翔央君は芸能界で働いていました。ある人気作品で出演したことがあります。有名な俳優や芸人や演出者などと共に仕事をしたことがあります。重要な公演会場で公演したことがあります。しかし、翔央君は決して驕慢に振舞いません。
From the age of twelve Sean has been working in the entertainment world. He has taken part in important productions, has worked with famous actors, entertainers and directors, has performed in big venues... but he has never behaved arrogantly.
岡村さんがように、青山劇場に2002年に翔央君は「プレゾン・愛史」に参加しました。その上、2年後に、2004年に、同じ劇場に、翔央君は「ウエスト･サイド･ストリー」というミュージカルに出演しました。Aラブ役を演じました。（金髪の翔央！）
As Mr. Okamura says in the tweet I posted above, Sean took part in Playzone 2002 in Aoyama Theatre. But he also took part in the "West Side Story" musical that was staged in Aoyama Theatre in 2004, in which he played the role of A-Rab. (Blond Sean!)
2005年遅くに～2006年初期に、翔央君のファンになって初めて、彼が「ウエスト･サイド･ストーリー」に出演したことを知りました。ちょうどその頃にそのミュージカルの「ファンカム」が海外の嵐のファンたちの間で回覧されていました。（ファンカムとはファンが撮影した映像のことです）
ミュージカルを観に行ったファンの誰かが、ビデオで録画して、インターネットにアップロードしたそうです。 舞台やコンサートなど録画するのは禁止されているけど、私はそのファンの人のお陰で翔央君の「ウエスト・サイド・ストーリー」の演技を観れたのですから密かに感謝しています。だって2004年には翔央君の存在すら知らなかったのですから！

Since the rehearsals of "Hiryuden 21" started, Okamura Shun'ichi, the director of the play, has made several tweets about Sean. When I read the tweet below, I was moved beyond words. I really admire Sean's humbleness.

Since I became a Sean fan in late 2005-early 2006, it wasn't until then that I learned Sean had taken part in that musical. Around that time a fancam was circulating among the Arashi fans in the English-speaking fandom, and even though it's forbidden to record plays, concerts and so on, I have to admit that I was grateful to the person who recorded it because thanks to her I was able to see Sean's acting in WSS. Otherwise I would have never seen it because back in 2004 I didn't even know Sean existed.
沢山の舞台やコンサートやテレビ番組などDVDで発売されないのが残念だと思います。発売されているなら、私も含め、多くの人はすぐにでも買うのですが。とにかく、ファンカムの画質と音質は荒いですが、この短い動画で翔央君の歌うシーンを観ることが出来ます。翔央君の演技は素晴らしかっただと思います。キャストで一番の最年少だったにも関わらず、彼のダンスと演技は先輩たちにちっとも引けを取らず見事なものでした。
It's a pity that many plays, concerts, TV shows, etc. are not released as DVDs, because I'm sure many people -me included- would gladly pay for them. Anyway, the fancam image and audio quality is rather low, but in the short clip below you can see one of the scenes in which Sean sung. Biased though I may be, I think his performance was superb. He was the youngest member in the cast, but his acting and dancing were, in my opinion, every bit as good as those of the older cast members.

日本に住んでいる友人は青山劇場の閉鎖が決まったと私に言いました。残念なことですが、翔央君は閉鎖前にもう一度青山劇場に出演することが出来て、良かったと思っています。青山劇場は翔央君とまた「会う」のきっと嬉しいですよね。翔央君、「飛龍伝21」頑張って下さい！
A friend who lives in Japan has told me that Aoyama Theatre is shutting down. Even though that's sad, I'm glad Sean got to perform there once again before that happens. I'm sure the theatre is happy they have met again.
